Christmas Trivia Quiz
Twenty questions. Instant answers. One shareable score.
20 questions. No googling.
Carols, history, films, and the traditions nobody can explain. You get one guess per question and the answer straight after.
How to Run This as a Party Game
The quiz works fine on a phone by yourself, but it's better with a room. Cast the page to a TV, split everyone into teams, and read each question aloud before anyone taps an answer. Give each team ten seconds to commit — the explanations that appear after every question do most of the hosting work for you, and they're the part people argue about.
For a longer game, play twice and track cumulative scores, or use the categories as rounds: history and origins, films and television, food and drink, then traditions from around the world. Most groups find that the traditions questions are where confident players fall apart.
Where These Questions Come From
Every question is drawn from the reference material on this site — the country-by-country guides to Christmas traditions, our complete guide to Christmas music, and the film write-ups in Christmas movies. If a question surprises you, the fuller story is usually one click away.
Nothing here is a trick question. Where a fact is genuinely contested — Santa's original colors being the classic example — the answer reflects the historical record rather than the popular myth.
